Hoops: Raps' losing skid turning ugly
Raptors lose again, this time to lakers in LA. With this they've now lost 6 in a row, and 12 of 14. No question they need they're big guns badly.

RAPS VS. LAKERS --> Raptors lost a heart-breaker and were undone by referees as they lost 109-107 against Lakers at home. Mo Pete hit a 3 with 9 secs. to go in regulation, but it was counted as a 2! Plus McCoy and Lenard were fouled out on very questionable calls. Hunter was right when he said "they dint want us to win". Thus, Lakers get a break in T.O. although they still go home with a losing road trip record.

Cricket: Black Caps claim series
After a bizarre 2 days in which 3 innings collapsed, the New Zealand Black Caps secured a victory by 4 wickets by scoring 167 runs on the final day and the 4th innings of the 2nd test. The test match saw India get out for 99 and 152, while NZ scored 95 in their 1st turn. NZ win series 2-0. India continue to have a losing record away from home.

Cricket: Pakistan cricket update
PCB Chairman has announced that Waqar Younis would be retained as skipper of the Pakistani team in World Cup 2K3 in South Africa. Wasim Akram did all he can to get back as Pakistani captain but was throughly dissappointed, and dint even speak to reporters. This would surely be a setback to his efforts to fix the world games!

Also, Pakistani squad in SA suffered a major blow as Shoaib was ruled out of the 2-test series in SA with a knee injury; as it is, Wasim has been dropped from the squad as well and so has Anwar.

Basketball: Raptors too hot for Bucks
Toronto VS Milwaukee -->
The Toronto Raptors made themselves look good against the Milwaukee Bucks as they suprised with a 122-118 victory Tuesday nite. Guard Hunter produced some huge plays down the stretch, including a
3-point with 1 sec. left in regulation time to tie the game. Lenard scored a team-high 23 points, and Mo Pete 21. Big men McCoy, Huffman, and Bradley all had a good outing, and so did on-court strategist Alvin Williams. Raptors are still without their superstar Vince Carter and US Dream-Teamer Antonio Davis. Next stop is tomorrow nite in Chicago.

Toronto VS Chicago -->
Raptors produced a total contrast to their last game against Bucks as they went down to the lowlu Bulls in Chicago.

Cricket: England do what they do best - LOSE!
England were in familiar territory again as they went down to Aussies in their 1st game of the VB series. Gilchrist and Ponting smashed the English bowlers all over the park, although a bad news for the hosts was the dislocated shoulder of star bowler Shane Warne. Although other teams would be relieved to see their master spinner out of their lineup for the World cup next year.

NHL: Leafs continue their winning wayz
Toronto Maple Leafs are no question the hottest team in the NHL right now. Just today, they gave a 4-1 drubbing to Rangers to further better their record. Toronto now have won 8 straight at home and are 9-3 in their last 12 games.

On the flip side, Micheal Peca & NY Islanders keep losing and now are the worst-ranked team in the Atlantic. Although they did beat the Leafs Dec 6, the team from T-dot is waiting from them and their blood!

NBA: Raptors need Vince and A.D back
Raptors are turning out to be one of the most losingest teams around the association due to the multitude of injuries that have hit them since the start of the season, actually since February - when VC got himself injured and retired from the season. His bad luck has caught him again and one wonders whether he ever will be fully fit again!

Friday the back-benchers of Toronto did all they can but still fell short of the Glove and his Sonics. Next game is against MJ and the Wizards - Yeah the same MJ he was once compared with. ACC will also another look at the not-so-good ol' Oak. Oak can use all his philosophy but really his best time in recent years was when he played for the Raptors ans since he was so deservedly dumped, he has pretty much been a liability rather then an asset.
